community outreach
Welcome to the Carol Ann North Elementary PTA! We are a dedicated group of parents, teachers, and staff working together to make our school an even better place for every student. Our mission is: Make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for ALL children.
How We Support Our School
The PTA plays a vital role in enhancing the educational experience and overall environment at North Elementary for all Navigators. We do this in several key ways:
Funding Enrichment Programs: We raise funds to provide valuable programs and resources that aren't typically covered by the school budget. This can include things like:
Field trip scholarships
Author visits
Technology enhancements and subscriptions for student learning
School wide assemblies and events
Supporting Teachers and Staff: Our amazing teachers and staff work tirelessly for our children. The PTA helps support them by:
Providing classroom grants for special projects
Funding teacher trainings
Organizing appreciation events (like Teacher Appreciation Week)
Supplying essential classroom materials
Building Community: We believe a strong school community benefits everyone. We organize events that bring families together, fostering a sense of belonging and fun, such as:
Fall Festival and Spring Fling
Family movie nights
Performing Arts Play
Winter Wonderland
Field Day
Parent education workshops
Advocating for Our Students: We serve as a voice for our students and families, working with school administration and local leaders on important issues that impact our Navigator's education and well-being.
Volunteering Our Time: From helping in classrooms and libraries to organizing events and serving on committees, our volunteers are the backbone of the PTA. Every hour volunteered directly benefits our students and school community!
